Title courtesy of Gorillaz' "November Has Come" off of "Demon Days." It's worth checking out if you're into that rock/hip-hop mix kind of thing.
Following up on Tuesday's blog about the snow, we had a snow day the next day, which I spent shoveling the driveway and then being cold and tired the rest of the day. Fun.
Cross country sectionals were yesterday. It was bittersweet for me. Both the girls and the boys teams ran well, and I was proud to be there and support them. Leah and Carly even made states for the girls with finishes of 5th and 2nd, respectively. At the same time I really wish I could have run. Oh well, there's no use in dwelling on it. This could be good in the long run. If I had run all this year without getting hurt, I certainly wouldn't have the desire I have now to train hard over the summer so I can run in college. Five mile races, I can't wait. Haha.
Anyway, here we are in November and I haven't even started college applications yet. I haven't even typed up my activity resume or asked for letters of recommendation or anything. There is a chance I may be the first valedictorian ever to not be accepted into a college at this rate. Then again, I'm sure JCC would take me even if I wait until August to apply. =P
Here's my to do list for this weekend. I fully expect to do about half of it if I'm lucky.
- Study for Monday's AP Biology test
- Finish homework for 3.6 and 3.7 for Calculus
- Find a topic for my English essay, email it to Mrs. Golding, and find four credible sources
- Do that Government homework that was due yesterday that I forgot about
- Type up my physics lab
- Clean off my dresser
- Start the college application process
- Determine which, if any, of the following belong on my mp3 player: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Thin Lizzy, Billy Corgan's solo album, Neil Young, The Jesus and Mary Chain, David Bowie, and Echo & The Bunnymen
