So, things are starting to pick up with the (still unnamed) band. We've added a few covers to our arsenal and have even started writing melodies and, to a lesser extent, lyrics of our own. Here is a link to a song I just wrote last night. I think it's horrible, but other people have suggested otherwise.
It will be interesting to see how things go with the band over the next quarter or two. We've discovered that a certain someone who will remain unnamed isn't quite as supportive of the band as we had previously thought. That may or may not lead to some tension and stress in the long run.
Also, Zack had a fantastic idea the other day at lunch. He suggested that to fulfill our complementary learning requirement for honors we have a concert for charity. It would take a lot of practice and a lot of time to coordinate such an event, but it would awesome and definitely worth it. I'm not so sure if it will happen this year but I am definitely on board with the idea at least next year and beyond.
